Unit One

Here is a basic HTML 5 skeleton. There are more advanced ones available such as the well-known "HTML 5 Boilerplate," but we will get to that later in the course.

<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">

<head>

<meta charset="utf-8">

<title>Change this Title</title>

<meta name="description" content="This will show in search engine results">

<meta name="author" content="Change this to your organization">

<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/styles.css?v=1.0">
 <!--[if lt IE 9]>
  <script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>
  <![endif]-->

</head>
<body>

<!-- This is where all of your HTML marked up content will go -->
  <script src="js/scripts.js"></script>

</body>

</html>

As I complete them, I will post the class lecture slides to the appropriate section of this website.

A simpler template is shown here.
